RECAPTURE YOUR VALUABLE PAPER ROLL INVENTORY

At Pacific Trail Mfg. we recognize your need to have choices in managing your paper roll inventory.

This inventory may include:
• Paper rolls to be re-pulped.
• Paper rolls that have been damaged.
• Paper rolls that need resizing for the guillotine.
• Paper rolls that are too wide for existing rewinders.

Dependent on what you will be doing with the roll(s) after cutting, we offer two different models of paper roll saws….

The PRS207FM is an inexpensive floor mount model that can cut any paper roll you have in inventory. Any diameter and width. Two main applications are to cut a roll to a shorter length or to remove damaged ends. Rolls can then be loaded into your guillotine for slicing then on to hydro-pulping.

The PRS207 is a larger saw with many more capabilities dependent on your needs. Roll rotation is available to assist in a smoother cut. The bed-rolls are lathe turned to ensure a perfect 90º cutting plane to the saw bar and saw chain and minimize vibration. Lateral travel stop assemblies can be added to keep the rolls stationary on the lateral plane during rotation. These eliminate corkscrewing during rotation. There is also a rigid frame assembly that can be added. This holds the saw bar rigid at the outboard end. This keeps the saw bar from wandering during the cutting. Once the roll is loaded on the saw, the saw head has 14” of lateral travel to fine tune the position of the cut. To assist this there is an on board laser light that shows the cut line.

• Both saws have direct drive to the saw chain. This eliminates expensive mandrel assemblies and their
wear parts.
• Both saws come stock with a 20hp TEFC electric motor driving the special carbide saw chain.
• Boths saws come stock with full a “fat belly” full stellite® inlaid saw bar for maximum wear.
• Both saws come stock with a 3hp 3GPM hydraulic unit powering the cut stroke.
• Lexan plastic windows and expanded metal guards are stock on both models.
• Both saws are fitted with sawdust portholes for easy waste capture.
• Sawdust vacuum systems are available.
• Dead-man safety foot switches are available. When the operator steps away from the controls, the saw
shuts down.
